The people behind Top Down Med
Camilla Khan
Co-CreatorCamilla Khan is a co-creator of Top Down Med, where she leads product and engineering — translating the way clinicians reason through a case into a clean, fast, and intuitive learning experience. An incoming MBA candidate at the Wharton School, she most recently worked on the go-to-market team at Mosaic, a startup automating financial modeling for private equity and investment banking clients.
Camilla began her career in investment banking and private equity at leading firms including Goldman Sachs and Dominus Capital in New York City, and holds a BA in Financial Economics and Mathematics from Columbia University. Outside of work, she enjoys baking, painting watercolor portraits, and playing the piano.
Nicola Manfredi
Co-CreatorNicola Manfredi is a co-creator of Top Down Med and the clinical mind behind its cases, ensuring every scenario, decision point, and explanation reflects the reasoning and standards of real clinical practice. He is a medical student at Upstate Medical University and a graduate of Cornell University, where he majored in social psychology with a minor in biology.
His background spans neuroscience and psychiatry, with research experience in neuroimaging and interventional psychiatry. Outside the lab, he has volunteered with Catholic Charities of Onondaga County, running health screenings for refugee populations and connecting people with the care and resources they need. He brings that same mix of scientific rigor and patient-centered care to every case he writes for Top Down Med.
